In 2017, the Charlottesville Alliance for Black Male Achievement received a grant from the BAMA works foundation to create a documentary focused on Changing the Narrative of Black men in our community. Our Black Male Achievement Coordinator partnered with the Community Attention Youth Internship Program (CAYIP) and Light House Studio to achieve this goal. The CAYIP program provided four Black male interns (ages 14-18) to film, edit, and interview five successful Black men in our community. Light House Studio provided technical support, equipment, and funding for our lead teaching artist Clarence Green.

Please join us at the Virginia Film Festival to view the documentary on November 1, 2018, at 5:30 pm at Light House Studio.
